Forum integration - any news?

Postby eSiK on Thu Aug 10, 2006 8:42 am

Since LT 1.1 is still in beta release I am looking forward in the integrating plugin. My users want me to add a forum (I have chosen punBB - very stable and user-friendly) but the integration with LT would be a very nice addon, becaouse now users have to register twice (in LT and in Forum) :(
Any hope that integration would work on 1.0.6? Or maybe 1.1 will be released faster? If so, then when? :)

Tahnks in advance for you help...

LT 1.1 is hopefully coming in early September... we're almost there :)

Regarding the integration with punbb, you'll have to write the integration as the ones that we're currently providing work only with phpbb and postnuke. In any case, you have to develop a "provider" for each new integration so it's nothing personal... it's just the way it works :) LT just needs to understand the data structure of the host application.

There really isn't much information written about it yet:

Also take a look at the class/dao/userdata/baseuserdataprovider.class.php, which is the base interface that all providers need to implement.

Hi,

Sorry to have to dissapoint you but allthough SMF is free it is not Open Source.

Read their license and you'll see.

A great forum though but be carefull how you integrate the two systems.
