Question on the geotagging feature in 2.0

Question on the geotagging feature in 2.0

Postby rbhao on Sun Nov 11, 2007 11:24 pm

I saw LifeType 2.0 has a planned feature for geotagging by integration with Google Map. However I haven't seen any sign for this feature in the latest code snapshot. Can anyone working on this feature give a clue on how it is going to be implemented? Thanks

LT 2.0 has a working implementation of Google Maps. All you need to do is get a Google Maps API key (we can't get it for you, each server needs its own key), save it under Administration->Settings->Locations (or "Maps", or something like that) Once you get the API key in there, you will see that all the options related to Google Maps become active.

Thanks for the instructions. I checked out the latest code and the geotagging feature finally worked. Just curious, why doesn't the LT 2.0 provide a way to let a viewer see all his/other's geotagged blog articles or even blogs on a map? It should be an easy thing given all the RSS feed are now geotagged.
