LT 1.2 final

LT 1.2 final

Hey

I know this is the most annoying questions for developers but how is the 1.2 looking? In other words, is it close to be released as final version?

It is getting there. I think all of the developers are running it on their own blogs, which is always a good first step.
A bunch of plugins have been upgraded, but not all of them. I think there are still a number of templates that will need to be upgraded.

I'm still working on some templates - I have some done. btw If I remove the commentform.template? I'll have to change code in the postandcomments.template? correct? just looked at the ones that had been done and it looked different...

Anyway was thinking of getting all the templates to use the default comment form or is that used irrespective when global authimage is enabled?

Got a seminar this weekend so don't know how much I will get done....

I think our team is also mostly done porting templates, so perhaps it shoulnd't be a priority for you to port templates anymore... And yes, the idea now is that the global commentform.template is used instead of the one provided by the template. In fact in the templates we've ported we have removed it, and there is no need to change anything in postandcomments.template. The template layer is smart enough to load the one under templates/default/ if the one in the template folder is missing.

I didn't know about the WP issues, but just... wow. We distribute files through Sourceforge.net, so we're on the safe side (at least concerning this kind of issues and as long as Sourceforge.net itself isn't hacked!)

I am not presurizing the dev team, but are you far from the release?

No. But there's a last minute problem that we're trying to sort out as soon as possible.
