how to install smarty plugins

I learned that Smarty has also some plugins. However, I do not know how to integrate them into lifetype. Any hints?

(The smartyplugin I need is "smarty_exists" which checks if a (template) file exists.)

There is a smarty directory class/template/smarty, and you just drop the file in the plugins directory.

And then you should be able to use the appropriate object in your template. I don't think there is any registration or anything that you need to do.
