Improving AuthImage

Improving AuthImage

Postby Zrooney on Mon Oct 08, 2007 8:34 am

I managed to create a random image generator that's a bit more elaborate than the one that's offered by AuthImage...

...any resources and help I can get on trying to swap in the new CAPTCHA image?

I'd appreciate it immensely if I didn't have to blindly dig around in the code! :D

The core LT provides its own captcha class in class/data/captcha/captcha.class.php, just reimplement your code while sticking to the already existing interface and it'll be ok. This part of the captcha is used during the registration process (register.php), btw.

If you're talking about the autimage plugin, it provides its own captcha code. Have a look at file pluginauthimage.class.php, there's a few methods that take care of creating and displaying the captcha. As above, if you stick to the existing interface you'll have no problems replacing the code.

It would also be nice if you shared the code :)

Great, I'll look into it.

I'll be glad to share the code when and if I get it to work! :D

Gosh, it's been a while. I had forgotten about this.

I should mention that I switched to the very nice reCaptcha plug-in and this became a bit moot.
