pager problem in searchresults.template

Postby abram on Sun Apr 26, 2009 8:30 am

why the {pager} display more pages than the result of a query ?
even more than the total of article in the blog.

This problem is only in the searcresult.template, for others template works well

Thx

Can you show me an example on your blog? Or better yet, show it to me on my blog? http://jon.limedaley.com/
I just did a search for "test", and it came up with 8 pages, which seemed reasonable, though I didn't look through all of the pages to make sure that all of the articles were unique.

Are you putting content directly in the database, or are you posting it using LT's admin interface?

Hrm. I think you have a setting wrong - I think you need to turn on the "show blogId in URLs" in the administration->general.

Bizarre. Do you have fulltext searches on or off? (the setting is in the config file) I'd try setting it the other direction, and see if that changes anything for you.

Do you have posts marked as drafts? http://bugs.lifetype.net/view.php?id=1515

You should probably upgrade to 1.2.9 anyway, since that fixes a ton of stuff.

fulltext was false, i had set to true and now seem to be good.
I have some post in draft, but not more than 10posts.
i'll do it when i'll be more in confidence with this program, even i'm little bit scared about upgrade

thx for interest jondaley

The "upgrade" is simply copying in the files. There isn't any change to the database. It is true that it is possible there are new bugs, but there are lots of things fixed as well: http://bugs.lifetype.net/roadmap_page.php
