What we need

Users in this team will be in charge of creating a few nice and comfortable templates to be included in the project package. We would rather have 2 very nice ones than 12 mediocre ones so we will try to concentrate on quality rather than quantity.

Ideally, templates should at least be XHTML 1.0 Transitional and use CSS. It would be even better if the format was XHTML 1.0 Strict but that's not a strong requirement anyway.

Templates should be original as much as possible , so please feel free to use your imagination!

I would say that most of the blogs templates are no especially good actually and it would be great to make nice new ones.
And obvioulsy to have that :

Oups sorry i didn't notice the date of the first post.
Sorry but the default template is... how should I say... not nice at all !
