Hi, a problem with a new locale:(

Postby Heshmi on Wed Nov 15, 2006 8:56 am

"
Exception message: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/theforex/domains/theforexblogger.com/public_html/blog/locale/locale_ar_AR.php:1)
"

this is a notice the program gave me after trying to set a new local. it seems as if it works (the local, only the header makes somekind of a problem, since the lines that follow the first one say:

"
Error code: 2
-- Backtrace --
/home/theforex/domains/theforexblogger.com/public_html/blog/class/view/view.class.php(175): header
"

does anyone know what can i do? to fix it?

Your editor probably left the byte-order mark (BOM) at the top of the file, just before '<?php' at the top of the file. What you have to do now is open the file with notepad, remove that first character (it's going to look funny) and then try again.

Thank for this, but I haven't got a BOM see you ;)

Code: Select all
<?php

// login page
$messages["login"] = "Connexion";
$messages["welcome_message"] = "Bienvenue sur LifeType";
$messages["error_incorrect_username_or_password"] = "Désolé, pseudo ou mot de passe incorrect.";
$messages["error_dont_belong_to_any_blog"] = " Désolé, vous n'êtes encore membre d'aucun blog";
$messages["logout_message"] = "Déconnexion réussie.";
$messages["logout_message_2"] = "<a href=\"admin.php\">Cliquez ici</a>pour vous reconnecter,
ou <a href=\"%1\$s\">ici pour aller %2\$s</a>.";
$messages["error_access_forbidden"] = "Accès interdit, vous devez vous identifier <a href=\"admin.php\">ici</a> avant .";
$messages["username"] = "Pseudo";
$messages["password"] = "Mot de passe";

This is the beginning of my file ;)

Ps : sorry for this english, but I'm french :D

did you edit the locale file?
Your editor might be hiding the BOM mark on you. What is your URL?

Yes, I have edited he, because " / " was miss ( such as l'alphabet must be l\'alphabet )

The probleme is in the admin, so, I not sure it will help you :wink:

For the BOM : I have tested with notepad and dreamweaver, there was not BOM

It could also be an empty space or other garbage at the end...

I wanted to look at your locale file, not the actual web page.
